Eugénia Leite

Eugénia Aguiar Leite was born in 1989 in Cabeceiras de Basto. She has a master's degree in architecture from the University of Minho.

She is currently the architect and creative head of the REarquiteturas studio, where she has developed a range of projects with the most diverse functional programmes, with experimentation as a constant.

She collaborated with Galbilec, Serviços Globais de Projeto, between 2015 and 2020, where she had the opportunity to explore the potential associated with the execution of spaces and the development of products aimed at the social and health areas.

Alongside her professional activity, she researches the correlation between architecture and music, namely through the exploration of transcription processes between space and sound, having publicly presented her work in interdisciplinary seminars and exhibitions such as the Territories Societies and Cultures Seminar, the 1st Colloquium on Musical Psychophysiology, and the Emerging Art Now exhibition. She is the author of the articles ‘Percursos, Transcrições e Sonoridades’ in the collection Iberografias, Centro de Estudos Ibéricos, vol. 27; ‘Transcription of Vale do Ave into sound: creation of a spatial auditory language’ in Lusophone Journal of Cultural Studies, vol. 5, n. 1, 2018 and ‘Transcribing Vale do Ave into sound: “seeing” space through “listening”’ in European Review of Artistic Studies 2020, vol. 11, n. 3.
